Okay, just about everyone has a red laser pointer. Heck, we even sell a fine one here at ThinkGeek. But, we’re pretty sure you want to be a superior geek - and doing it with a green laser is the way to go.

Your title should be short and concise and should accurately describe what is being offered in your ad.

Bad titles include generic phrases such as “For Sale” or “Best Offer” as titles like those give potential buyers no idea what you’re offering so they will be unlikely to click on your ad to view the rest of it.

Examples:
If you were selling a 1966 Ford Mustang, your ad title should be “1966 Ford Mustang” rather than something more generic such as “For Sale” or “Great Car” otherwise your ad won’t be returned when somebody searches for a 1966 Ford Mustang meaning you’ll miss out on a potential sale.

If you’re advertising a chocolate AKC registered Chihuahua puppy, your ad title should be “Chocolate AKC Registered Chihuahua Puppy” and not something generic such as “Available in June!” or “Great with kids” otherwise your ad can’t be returned if somebody searches for a chocolate Chihuahua puppy.

If you’re advertising a work from home envelope stuffing business opportunity, your ad title should be something like “Work from home envelope stuffing” and not something like “Looking for employees” or “Earn $30,000 per month!” as your ad cannot be returned if somebody is searching for an envelope stuffing opportunity.

The best titles are always short and descriptive, for example “1990 Ford Mustang for sale” or “8 week old Chihuahua for sale”.
Ads with this type of title are usually much more successful because it’s easy for customers to see what’s being offered which attracts more clicks, more people finding your ad through searches, and more viewings of the ad.
