How to choose keywords?

One of the MOST important things to get or not to get customers is about choosing the RIGHT Keywords. Using the WRONG keyword will make you get no sale.

Suppose you are selling mobile phone, which keyword that you will going to use?

Let me separate keywords in to 3 groups:

  1. Broad Keywords, this type of keyword is very broad, it will less convert into sale. For example, if you using “phone”, “mobile phone” as keywords, so they are broad since those keyword is using by people that want to make researches on their mobile phone purchasing, they don’t even decide which brand they are going to buy. So, please avoid these type of keywords.
  2. Narrow Keywords, this type of keyword can convert into sale, the characteristics of this keywords are
    • the keyword contains brand name of the product
    • the keyword contains model of the product
    • the keyword contains size, color of the product

For example, if customer search for “Nokia 6230″, “Red Nike Shoe”, this mean that your customers already have something to buy in mind. So, focus on these type of keywords.

  3. Action Keywords, this type of keyword will convert to sale very well. The Action Keywords are something similar like this:
    • Buy + brand + model: Buy Nokia 6230
    • Purchase + brand + model: Purchase Nokia 6130
    • Where to buy + brand +model: Where to buy Nokia 6230
    • Brand + Model + Store: Nokia 6230 Store
    • etc…

Hope this help.

Thank and regards,
Tung
